These
hillfolk consider themselves Hooglanders, although not fanatically. Originally
tribesfolk from the Krestible region, the Weisspeer clan are, on the whole,
superb horseriders. This often leads to rivalry with the Rosrijders of Schwartzenbruin,
who claim that superiority lies in their larger lowland horses. The Weisspeer
instead declare that their hill ponies make the superior mounts, thus perpetuating
the (mostly good-natured) rivalry. Many of the Weisspeer clansfolk have been
urbanised, settling in and around the city of Krestible. This has led to something
of a division between the hillfolk and the townsfolk - but, again, not to
any serious degree.
