Ordering Scenarios
When ordering any scenario other than a special mission, you must register
an event on the RPGA website. To do this,
- Go to the Member Services section of the RPGA website.
- Sign in with your RPGA number and your password.
- Click the Request Scenarios link and set up a RPGA event.
- Choose and event type (Gamesday, Home Game) and type in your event details.
Remember to use the American date format (mm/dd/yyyy) and keep in mind the
minimum periods of time required between ordering your event and running
your event (14 days for a gamesday, 5 days for a home game). When you're
ready, click on the Step Two button.
- Wait for the list to download (you may find it easier and quicker if you
set the filter to Living Greyhawk). Click the Add button for the scenario(s)
you want to download for your event. When you've selected all the scenarios
you want to order, click the Move to Next Step button.
Note that Regional and Meta-Regional scenarios are listed only by code,
and not by code and name.
Also, note that all Introductory scenarios (for 1st level characters only)
are covered by the "Living Greyhawk Introductory Adventure" generic scenario,
as the RPGA site does not track individual introductory scenarios.
Once you have created your event, you can download Core scenarios from
the Members Services section of the RPGA website and Perrenland Regional or Iuz's Border States scenarios from the relevant current scenarios page on this website. Perrenland Introductory scenarios are the exception, as they cannot be downloaded from this website. If you have ordered any
Perrenland or Iuz's Border States scenarios, you must also contact the Perrenland
Triad Point-of-Contact, Bruce Paris, for the scenario password and adventure record. To do this,
- Email Bruce Paris at baparis@aapt.net.au
and give him your event details, namely:
- Event Code
- Name Of Event
- Date of Event
- Location
- Number Of Tables
- Organiser’s Name and RPGA Number
- Scenarios being run
Note that you must order your scenario from Bruce at least seven
(7) days in advance of your event or Slot Zero, whichever comes
first. If you do not give Bruce sufficient notice, you may not receive your
scenarios in time!
- Bruce will send you the adventure record as a PDF file
and a TXT file containing the password for the scenario plus any errata. If you are ordering an Introductory scenario, Bruce will also send you the scenario as a PDF file.
Note that the files Bruce will send you may be large attachments (up to 1 Mb
or more per scenario), so please make sure you give him an email account
that can handle email attachments of that size.
- After your event, report your results on the RPGA website.
Ordering Special Missions
The rules are a bit different if you wish to order an existing special mission (those listed on the current Perrenland scenarios page. These
are managed by the Perrenland Triad and are not ordered through the RPGA web
site, so you do not need an event to order these scenarios. To do this,
- Email Bruce Paris at baparis@aapt.net.au and give
him the name of the special mission you want to order and the reasons your
player(s) have for playing the special mission. Your request for the special
mission may be declined if your player(s) do not have a good reason to play
the special mission - special missions are supposed to be relevant to the
characters taking part, and not just an opportunity to play an additional
regional scenario this year.
Note that you must order your scenario from Bruce at least seven
(7) days in advance of your event. If you do not give Bruce sufficient
notice, you may not receive your scenarios in time!
- Bruce will send you the scenario and the adventure records as PDF files.
Note that the files Bruce will send you are large attachments (up to 1 Mb
or more per scenario), so please make sure you give him an email account
that can handle email attachments of that size.
- After your event, advise Bruce who played the special mission so that
the Triad can monitor the "one special mission per player per year"
rule.
