Hanne Weisspeer (born 568 CY)
daughter of Karenin Weisspeer
In
591 CY, unsubstantiated rumours suggested that Hanne Weisspeer, the eldest
daughter of Voormann Karenin, may have had political aspirations of her own.
Despite her youth, Hanne was known to have assisted her father in the past,
and a protege of her uncle Hasten, the Voormann's younger brother and acting
Pfalzgraf of the Weisspeer clan. Known to be a skilled bard, Hanne was noted
for her charm, intelligence and learning: in addition to her skills as a diplomat,
she was well versed in the nation's history.
When asked in 592 CY about her opinion of the forthcoming election, Hanne
apparently had the following to say. "I think it unwise to judge affairs
as this early time. What I will say is that there must be a good relationship
between the Voormann and the Cantonal Council. Without an agreement between
all parties in the council there can be no confidence in their ability to
govern, and sadly it seems that there are issues in the current state that
need resolving. Whether matters have progressed beyond repair remains to be
seen."
One scurrolous piece of gossip that made the rounds was of romance between
Hanne and Karl Hussen. These started after the young lady was seen keeping
company with Karl in Yatilsskaad, before he was outlawed. Despite suggestions
that their meeting might indicate an alliance between the two clans, it appears
that the truth is far darker: Hanne went missing in 592 CY, and in 593 CY
it was discovered that Karl Hussen had kidnapped her. Hanne was rescued shortly
before her father's re-election as Voormann, then kidnapped again, and finally
rescued (for the last time) before the end of 593 CY, shortly before giving
birth to a child. She now resides in Riberlund in the household of Pfalzgraf
Karla Hussen, Karl's mother.
